CSULB PTSA's 1st Annual PT Month of Service started bright and early this Saturday morning. Scott Lee from the class of 2019 made the short trip to Rancho Los Amigos Medical Center in Downey for the annual Spinal Injury Games.
A Spinal Injury Games veteran, Scott was excited to help out any way he could to make it a rewarding day for the athletes to try out different wheelchair sports and activities such as basketball, quad cycling, rock climbing, and tennis. He helped set up booths and prepare the activities with students representing different professions and different programs, including USC, Western University, and West Coast University.
Scott loved how selfless the event was and how so many individuals worked hard to provide the athletes with a day of fun. When asked about what made Spinal Injury Games such an awesome event, he replied that "it was a great opportunity to network with other students! You never know when you will run into them again at conferences, clinical sites, or in future jobs." Spinal Injury Games really was an event that brought the community together.
Spinal Injury Games take place at Rancho Los Amigos Medical Center in Downey, CA every fall. To learn more about Spinal Injury Games please visit their WEBSITE.
