"Free Food and Free Advocacy" seemed to be the theme for the Los Angeles National Advocacy Dinner held at the USC Health Science Campus. Class of 2017 students Michelle Wynne, Kristen Kuntz, and Matthew Downey and Class of 2018 student Ryan Gray traveled to USC, not just for the promised free food, but to discuss and learn more about advocacy.

Two panels - student and professional - delved into topics regarding the importance of physical therapy advocacy as well as how to get more involved as a student. Dr. James Buenaventura, a faculty member at CSULB, made a surprise appearance as one of the professional panel members.

The night was dynamic and full of energy as students and professionals discussed how the student population will set the tone for advocacy for years to come.

Overall, the students had a great time and have a lot of great information to bring back to their classmates.
