CSULB DPT rolled deep to Combined Sections Meeting in Anaheim this past week and oh was it amazing! Many students in the PTSA have been to conferences before, but CSM was the first national conference that many students had been to. Each section of the APTA had education sessions so there was no shortage of interesting topics for students to learn about.
Outside of the education session, students had the opportunity to explore the exhibit hall to network with potential employers, learn about new research being done by programs in the state, and to try out equipment they may one day be using in the clinic.
CSM also provided students an amazing networking opportunity with other DPT and PTA students in the state - our future colleagues. All of the learning, networking, and fun was documented on Twitter by the Class of 2017 with a push from one of our faculty, Dr. James Buenaventura.
We were so fortunate to have CSM so close to us this year and it definitely was a conference that revitalized many students' passion for physical therapy!
