The PTSA held it's inaugural PT Lunch N'Learn. Inspired by the APTA National Advocacy Dinner, the PT Lunch N'Learn acts as a vehicle for students to educate their fellow students - all over lunch.
The May 2016 PT Lunch N'Learn focused on advocacy - what it is, why it's important, and how students can get involved.
We had a great turnout with almost half of the program and several faculty members coming to see what the commotion was all about. Students shared their experiences with advocacy and what drives them to get involved. This helped fuel discussion on how CSULB students in particular can get involved in the future, and hopefully got some of the 1st year students interested in getting more involved early in their physical therapy education.
Looking forward to more great PT Lunch N'Learns!
